Opioidrisk Post-Training Survey Results

We have collected provider opinions on a Opioidrisk Core Program post-training survey (n=29), regarding satisfaction and educational value of the training program. Data was collected between March-July 2011. The majority of learners were physicians (93%). Learners who completed the summative evaluation were not included in this post-survey data analysis. On the average, more participants rated their agreement or strong agreement with statements reflecting their attitude toward following practice guidelines for chronic opioid therapy after taking the training program. Mean attitude scores increased from 4.1 pre-training to 4.3 post-training, using a 5 point Likert scale (where 1=Strongly Disagree, 5=Strongly Agree).




Educational Value

Educational value was rated highly. The majority of participants agreed that the program will assist in the improvement of:

  • Knowledge (90%)
  • Competence (83%)
  • Performance (86%) and
  • Patient outcomes (59%)

Additionally (where 1=Strongly Disagree, 5=Strongly Agree):

  • the program supported achievement of all core learning objectives (4.3-4.4/5)
